Only when entire communities—parents, teachers, healthcare providers, peers, and the media—convene to support young people can we truly provide them the comprehensive education they need to navigate the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood. No one has all of the answers, and adults must rely on and collaborate with one another to make this a reality.

Using our 20+ years of experience in the sexual health field, Health Connected offers tailored workshops to help parents build skills that will allow them to best support their student as they move through adolescence. Our workshops are customized to meet the needs of each group, but often tackle topics such as:

Communicating about values

Being an "Askable Adult"

Changes during puberty & adolescence

Relationships & dating

Media influences

Safety & sexual consent

Gender identities & sexual orientations

how to start and continue the conversation

build skills to answer youths' questions

Workshops are offered in English and Spanish in a variety of settings. These highly interactive sessions work best with groups of 10-30. Because we discuss mature/sensitive topics, we ask kindly that children do not attend.

In the past, we’ve partnered with schools, districts, parent-teacher groups, education foundations, and youth organizations. We’ve even worked with parents to hold in-home workshops over wine and cheese!

Costs are dependent on the location, workshop length, and size of the group. Please email us for details.
