CURRICULA REVIEW PROCESSES

We believe that diverse voices yield more effective public health curricula. For that reason, we involve parents, teachers, administrators, and students themselves in the development of all of our curricula--to help ensure each are relevant and effective for today’s youth. And before any of our curricula are implemented in classrooms, they are thoroughly vetted by expert physicians for medical accuracy and developmental appropriateness.

All of our curricula are also aligned with the most current national and state standards that guide the development and implementation of sexual health education in California's public schools. These include:

NATIONAL SEXUALITY EDUCATION STANDARDS

We are particularly proud to be one of a handful of nationally available curricula that are in compliance with the California Healthy Youth Act (AB 329). In 2015 California Gov. Jerry Brown signed AB 329 into law, mandating more comprehensive sexual health education in California's K-12 public schools than ever before, confirming California's position as a leader in the adolescent health landscape.
